Winter Wishlist 2014

Hi guys!

So, I have never really done one of these before so it's something a bit different I guess! But yes if I had lots and lots of money (praying this job interview goes well tomorrow..!) this is the selection of items I came up with that would be just ideal for winter! Whether that be jumpers for chilly weather, a Christmas party dress or even a fluffy penguin, I've narrowed down some of my favourites that I'd be all over if money was no object!

1. Sky lilac ripped knee skinnies - Liquor n Poker (£40.00)

Ripped jeans are VERY in right now, and Liquor n Poker specialises in them! I'm not huge on the trend like a lot of girls, but I came across this lilac pair on their site and LOVED them! They were just right for me, with the rips being fairly subtle and lilac being one of my favourite colours, resulting in quite the combination! These would be my top wishlist skinny jeans for sure. I may as well capitalise on the trend before it goes!

2. Monty Medium Plush Toy, H26cm - John Lewis (£12.00)

Who says these wish lists should be restricted to just items you can wear? Unless you've been living under a rock (or boycott every channel minus the BBC), then I'm sure the current John Lewis advert has been extremely omnipresent on your TV right now. We all love a bit of saccharine once in a while, Christmas is always appropriate for that! So of course I fell for the cuteness of the penguins and yes, I want the plush. It's just TOO adorable, no wonder they're sold out!

3. Pink Fluffy Jumper by RedSoul - Tonic Clothing (£55.00)

Yes, so imagining the fact that I don't have £20 to my name right now and money trees were a thing, I LOVE this jumper! Admittedly pink hasn't always been my favourite colour to wear (I'm more of a dark palette kind of girl) but this is just too cute for the winter months! The colour, material and the minimalistic detail are a gorgeous combination, with the bow being a sweet finishing touch! This is where my girly side makes a rare occurrence. Want.

4. Light Beige short coat - H&M (£49.99)

This coat is lush! It took me 17 years but I seem to have finally fallen in love with pink/beige clothing! Not only is it extremely pretty but so smart and chic as well. So many coats out there are also so much more expensive too, so I'd happily buy this.

5. Checked skater dress - Primark (£8.00)

Primark always have such cheap and cheerful items, I adore that you can find great dresses in there for under a tenner! I have so many dresses, although some not quite that wintery, so I really like the check pattern, colouring and sleeve length and think this would be ideal for the upcoming months.

6. Black Chain Buckle Strap Ankle Boots - New Look (£22.99)

I am ALL OVER the black ankle boots in New Look right now; I found myself buying a pair with a buckle very recently. Because I have that pair, it'd be lovely to own a pair like this that have quite a fair amount more detail on them - with two buckles and a chain. Love them!

7. Jolie sequin top skater dress - Boohoo.com (£25.00)

It has become evident that I have a thing for skater dresses! I adore them so much though, they flow so nicely on the skirt part. Anyway, Christmas time is always an excuse for glitter and sequins, and with a few parties/meals coming up, this'd be so lovely to wear out! I love the pairing of black and gold (subliminal Sam Sparro reference) and the pattern is so sophisticated.

8. Woolly Vest Sweater by RedSoul - Tonic Clothing (£55.00)

I have gotten into sleeveless jumpers recently, ever since purchasing one in Select. This is GORGEOUS, I adore the grey colouring, subtle swirl pattern and the cute but effective addition of the furry bobble which spruces it up a bit, lovely!

9. Silver Star, Snowflake and Pearl Stud Gift Pack - Claire's Accessories (£6.00)

Claire's was my accessory paradise in my first couple of years of secondary school, but you're never too old for their items! This pack of three stud earrings are dead cute! I actually have a pair of Christmas earrings that are of the dangly variety from a few years ago, with bells attached and all (think Pat Butcher from Eastenders) but they're not the most discreet of earrings. These are SO lovely though, simply cute - the snowflakes in particular will be fab around Christmas time.

10. Rib and Purl Pom Beanie - Accessorize (£15.00)

When browsing winter hats, this was the one that caught my eye the most! I recently bought a jumper from Select that's practically the exact same colour and I just can't stop thinking how cute the combination of them would be! It looks so snug and like the Tonic Clothing sleeveless vest, I adore the addition of the bobble!

11. White Chunky Lace Up Heeled Boots - New Look (£29.99)

Time to round this off with something a bit more outlandish! I keep seeing Betsy-Blue from Only the Young wearing boots like this on X Factor and I've wanted a similar pair so bad! They're a little scarily high and I doubt I'd have the confidence to wear these during the day, but for night-time they'd be a MUST for me! I love the combination of black and white with the laces for boots, SO lovely, I saved my favourite until last! New Look shoes are doing it for me so much now.

So that's it guys! I really hope you enjoyed this, it was something a bit different for me but was SO much fun to put together, who doesn't love browsing online stores?! But yes it's a really good way to plan ahead for outfits you want instead of aimlessly browsing in a store for four hours. Are there any items here that take your fancy? Also, feel free to comment your own wish lists, I love looking at them for inspiration!

Thanks,

Jade xx

Pre-holiday Shopping Spree!

Hi everyone!

I hope you've all been good. Events in my life have been all over the place as of late, but there is one thing I am really looking forward to that's coming up - going on holiday to Spain next weekend for 8 days! I didn't have a holiday in the summer, so it's great that I do get the chance in October! Anyway, I was in town today so it was a great opportunity for some holiday clothing purchases! Of course Spain is usually hot but we're going in October which is a tad unpredictable... so I got things from a jumper to a dress! New Look, Select and Primark were the stores I decided to visit. So, without further ado...

Primark was first up! I had a bit of a browse before falling in love with this dress! The picture doesn't really do it much justice, I had to get a small size because with dresses and jumpers in particular, they usually swamp me. But I assure you, in real life it looked great on and off! It is the Atmosphere ivory print scuba skater dress and it costed me £13.99. Oh Primark how I love your prices. The patterns and colouring are fantastic and it is SO figure hugging, one of my favourite dress purchases of recent times.

Next was Select, another shop with very affordable prices (yes, this pattern has already emerged). Firstly, I spotted the white sleeveless eyelash jumper for £11.99 and fell in love! Even if more of a winter colour, I'm really into fluffy white clothing at the moment after purchasing a Mickey Mouse jumper a couple of months ago. It's SO comfortable and warm, and I liked the fact that it was sleeveless - meaning that with the unpredictable weather right now, who knows if it'll be hot or cold - I have no sleeves for the former, or a thick material if the latter case. I was also DELIGHTED to find the Stone baroque embellished jumper for £14.99! I'd been dying to find a jumper this colour and this was the best one I came across in the store! Once again so comfortable, and also meaning I can ditch a necklace when wearing, due to the statement array of beads and sequins sewed on the front, gorgeous!

Lastly was a trip to old faithful New Look! Originally I'd spotted a t-shirt I'd wanted (a black version of a pink collar sleeveless shirt that I already own) but annoyingly it wasn't in my size! Oh well, I still managed to find a couple of other things to wear for night-time on holiday! First up I found the black grid check leggings for £12.99. Leggings is a department in my wardrobe that is pretty lacklustre, and due to an obsession with monochrome, these minimalistic but lovely leggings were the ones I ended up with! I also knew that I definitely needed a new pair of shoes. It was a tricky task though, particularly being surrounded by scarily high heels that would be laughable if I even attempted to walk in them. So I eventually settled on these - Teens Black Metal Trim Strap Wedge Shoe Boots for just £19.99! Wedges are just IDEAL for someone like me who needs a bit of height but isn't the biggest fan of skyscraper heels. These ones are quite comfortable and I adore the design.

So, that's all this time! I cannot wait for the pure escapism and joy of holiday (although it does mean missing a Halloween house party - why must plans always clash!) and now I have a few more items to take with me to Spain. I will so be making the most of their culture donning New Look clothing and eating at McDonalds... oops. But yeah so so excited! Hope you guys enjoyed this, any recent clothing purchases of your own? or any of mine that you're quite liking? Thank you for reading as always!

p.s. no blog post this week due to being in Spain so will do two within the two days I get back if that is okay!

July Favourites

Hi guys, these are a few things that I was really loving in July this year, including: clothing, cosmetics, TV shows and food. I've also experimented with the design to make it look a bit more aesthetically  pleasing, hope you enjoy!

First up is clothing, and I was absolutely delighted to find this. I'd wanted something smart and girly for ages, and the pink colouring as well as the black collar provided this. I usually really do not suit pink at all, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually really loved what this looked like on! I bought it for £8.99 from New Look, total bargain for something non-Primark!

Speaking of Primark, that's exactly where I got this from! I'd been looking for ages for a really nice playsuit for summer, but couldn't quite find one that I liked enough to purchase. However, looking around Primark, I stumbled across this one! I love the colouring and patterns, and at just £7.99 I just couldn't say no!

This was another Primark purchase this month! I was a bit strapped for cash so this month it's been another one of limited spending and looking for bargains. But anyway, I was looking for a dress in Primark and came across this one. I absolutely love the blue colour, and teamed up with a flower belt I have, the two went together so well so I just had to get it, especially once again for another brilliant price, this time just £10.00.

Well this is decidedly less girly than the other stuff! Anyway, I'd wanted something along the line of this for a while, but usually I have a look on Truffleshuffle.com for this type of thing. I decided that I didn't really like any of their 'drink' shirts. However, after being dragged (okay it wasn't that bad!) around Matalan, this Pepsi-Cola vest caught my eye and as it was only £8.00 I decided to pick it up for the summer!

Now for a quick piece of jewellery that I picked up this month! My necklace that I had been wearing pretty much everyday for the past few years was getting tatty so I wanted a new necklace, and another green one at that. I was in a charity shop and this one caught my eye, I liked how dramatic it was with all the different large green gems inside it, and I just adored it after trying it on, so now this has become one of my main necklaces, haha! The best part is that I only had £1.50 on me and the woman let me have it for just that, what a bargain!!

This has been my old faithful for almost three years, after originally testing out lots of different ones, getting help from one of the make-up ladies in store and finding the perfect make and colour for my skin tone. I'm including this because it usually lasts me a good few months but the time came where I needed to re-stock! The exact make is the No7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream, but more specifically the Normal/Oily SPF 15 one in the 'Fair' shade. It usually costs me about £11.99 but it is so worth it for me as it lasts so long, is the exact right colour and doesn't feel too heavy or anything, it does a really good job. Oh, and I usually buy it from Boots.

Here's another cosmetic that I've been loving this month! These are Estée Lauder lipsticks - the red one is #26 Nectarine and the more purple/brown one is #48 Hot Kiss. They are both absolutely wonderful - very pigmented leading to a very fantastic colour, plus it stays for hours. The Hot Kiss one in particular is probably my favourite ever lipstick shade that I've ever discovered, as you can see it's quite worn out! The packaging also looks amazing! Go check out their website, or failing that, Debenhams stock their products too!

Okay this boxset isn't exactly new as the show has just finished it's fifth season, but oh my gosh, during the summer holidays I've enjoyed watching back over the Glee season 1 boxset SO much! Season One was just pure gold with the comedy and drama and the story lines were just so on point. 'Bad Reputation' is most probably my favourite episode. Season One aired between 2009-2010 where the show found great success in the ratings and in the charts too.

This wouldn't be me unless it was rounded off with SOME form of food, haha! Firstly, this month my parents drove past a Cadbury Shop and brought us back a bag of 'Mis-Shapes' and they are absolutely gorgeous - a mixture of milk chocolate shapes and then also ones filled with caramel. I love both, so now I don't have to decided which one I'd prefer when I get a bag full of both of them! OH and secondly I was reminded of my love for Dip-Dabs this month when deciding to get one at my brother's futsal tournament. SO sugary but SO delicious!

So yeah that's it for this month guys! I hope you enjoyed this post and knowing me it had to be long and include food! Which of the items featured was your favourite? Most importantly, what were YOUR July favourites? Comment a link to your favourites' posts and I'll be more than happy to check them out!
